Castle Sinclair
Castle Sinclair is historic ruin set against the backdrop of coastal cliffs and was my absolute favorite castle among the dozens and dozens of castles I saw driving through this beautiful country. I remember savoring those salty ocean winds and channeling one of my favorite lines from Robert Baratheon on Game of Thrones: "Now this is country!" Wandering through the grounds I couldn't help but wonder the misery required to endure barricading yourself in such a cold, damp prison of stone as people on the outside try to kill you. People really were built different back then.
The image beautifully portrays the empty, rural landscape that is most of Scottish Highlands. One of my personal dreams is to one day be able to afford a summer home in the region to escape from humanity now that there are no longer clans of angry, homicidal Saxons prowling about.
This print is perfect for those captivated by history presented on a platter of golden hues and natural seascapes.
