Stranger in a Strange Land
This was by far my favorite view of Mt. Fuji. And that is saying something. It's a miracle I can manage to select one given that there is no shortage of incredible spots to view the mountain.
But this was my spot because it was consistently empty, a bit off the beaten path and the warm sun kissing the orange fruit of the persimmon trees gave it a nice contrast to blue lake waters and Fujisan towering above the clouds in the background. A lone wanderer standing in the foreground gives the scene a balanced sense of scale and provides a humbling feeling of being but a temporary spec in the presence of an ancient spiritual force much bigger than one's self.
This is the perfect print for anyone who wants to feel part of something bigger and appreciates a traditional cool/warm color harmony.
