Cadavre Exquis
Here we have the colorful Museum Garage in Miami's Design District. The distinctive structure features a facade composed of designs provided by 6 different architects in a game of Exquisite Corpse where a collection of images are assembled by various artists with no knowledge of what the others are doing but producing one image. The components might not necessarily match, but still flow together in one playful composition into one unique modern architectural vision.
I have to confess... this shot required a little B&E, but as I like to say in photography if you're not trespassing, you're not trying. This required me to be on a community balcony in a private building first thing in the morning. Pretty much all of the design district is private property and security guards are often patrolling for unauthorized photography. I showed up the morning of and waited for a security guard to exit an elevator requiring a FAB. I snuck in quietly as I could just as he exited. A stroke of luck made sure the door to the balcony was unlocked and I was able to set up my tripod and shoot in peace with nobody being the wiser.
So this print is for anyone who appreciates a good game of Cadavre Exquis, modern architectural design, and a little rule bending.
